Scope Mount for Bushmaster XM15 Carbine

Recommended Posts

I am considering adding a scope to my Y2K Bushmaster Carbine. Question is, should I mount it on the top handguard, which will require adding additional hardware to it; or, should it be handle mounted, so I would still have use of the iron sights. The scope is an EOTech HOLOgraphic Diffraction Sight, or one very similar to it. Where's the best place to mount this type of scope for best performance? Also, any hardware mounting suggestions will be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

what do you use the rifle for? would you use the iron sights if they are usabel? these are 2 of the question to think of before you decide.

What he said...

But just be in mind of this, you change your cheak-to-stock up higher when you mount crap on top on the carrying handle. So if you use a high-powered rifle, you just created a bad habbit.
