10/22 Slam-Fire Problem I'm having a little trouble with my 10/22 that I built. It slam-fires. Pretty self-explanatory. In addition, I'm getting frequent FTFs, usually 2 or 3 per 10-round mag. Usually what happens is I pull the trigger and the gun goes off 3 or 4 times, then an FTF, then another slam-fire, etc. Normally I'd just call Ruger and complain, but because this was my project gun, almost none of it is stock. Therefore, Ruger probably won't touch it. I have tried several types of ammo, as well as cleaned the area round the firing pin meticulously (I am NOT oiling it), but to no avail. So, advice for this problem? I'm considering replacing the firing pin with something aftermarket, as it's one of the few parts that I didn't replace. Recommendations?
