Any of you "geniuses" (:thkr: ) out there know how to disassemble a Krag bolt to change the parts over to a new bolt body? Doesn't look close enough to a Mauser or Enfield bolt for me to attempt without asking someone, first.

Thanks. M1

To remove the bolt - open the bolt, pull it to the rear and push the extractor up while turning the bolt counter-clockwise.
To strip the bolt - hold it by the handle, pull back on the cocking piece and rotate it counter-clockwise. The "bridge" will rotate off and the whole assembly will snap free.

If you're putting all of it back in a new bolt body, work in reverse. (I presume you headspaced the new bolt in your rifle).

Not a genius, I just like Krags.

I knew Surbat would be the one to reply on this one. I was able to remove the bolt soon after I got the rifle. I posted on 3 different forums & No reply til now. Thanks, bud. I will check headspace before I fire it, though.
