Smith Wesson 659 Full Auto

Question

Smith & Wesson 659 - Full Auto

Recently, a few S&W 659 full auto handguns have come up for sale. Supposely, only 21 were made.

There is a big sticker shock for these collector pieces. The current price for 'New in box" is $14,000 to $20,000.

That may seen high, but with the dearth of US made machine pistols in the USA, that price will continue to increase.

Interesting, I have seen select fire Barretas, Glocks and High Powers. Never seen this one. Too bad its a S&W...their revolvers are awsome (right now) but I have heard nary a good comment about their autos.

would a handgun be controllible on full auto withought a compensator? And withought Hi-caps, you could just fire one short burst....

Cool any-hoo though.

Last time I checked, I didn't think full-auto was about placing shots on target...it was more about putting someone on the ground...

If you can't hit 'em, they won't drop.

No...to put them on their bellies. Suppression. Full auto rifle: for killing. Full auto handgun: not practical.
